Inoculando microorganismos nativos a nuestra compostera

Alperujo composting, microbiology and soil fertility in the organic olive grove

Alperujo is a by-product left over from the production of olive oil, composed of vegetation waters or alpechines and the solid parts of the olive, such as the stone, mesocarp, skin and fatty remains.

At Almazara deortegas we take advantage of it and compost this valuable material at the end of the campaign along with the olive leaves from the cleaning of the olives, crushed pruning remains, straw and manure, thus we manage to give it structure and improve the Nitrogen content.

To further enrich this composting, we inoculate it with native microorganisms from nearby mountains in the form of liquid activation along with rock flour as a mineral contribution.

In this way we ensure a food rich in nutrients, loaded with native microbiology and minerals, available for the olive trees, made by us with the "materials or substances" that the farm and the oil mill give us.

We are going to try to briefly develop to understand a little more when we talk about native microorganisms and their importance, since it is a very broad, diverse and deep topic...:

Let's say that each forest has a biological memory with its own characteristics according to the ecological or bioclimatic conditions of the place where they are established.

That is, each microorganism has recorded in its memory the genetic history of the place and the distance where it was able to establish its evolution, development, reproduction, decomposition and death.

In the mulch that covers the lower part of the forests, millions of diverse microorganisms are present that constantly prepare the antechamber for higher life. There are several dozen functional groups of bacteria, fungi, algae and protozoans that inhabit it in perfect harmony, to keep alive the miracle and energetic flow of life in every space and fraction of time.

By applying these biopreparations, loaded with native microbiology and memory from nearby forests, we are biologically enriching our compost, providing a diversity of key information, which will go directly to the soil, accelerating the decomposition processes of organic matter, regenerating soil and strengthening the health of our trees and the environment.

Understanding this is important, to get closer to the reconstruction of a biologically indivisible and essential tissue for a healthy life, both ours and the olive grove, at the same time, preparing our own bioinputs based on native microorganisms gives us more autonomy and a connection and consciousness. more direct with the olive trees, the soil and the environment in which we carry out our activity.

Quality is made in the field.....
