Oil tourism, EVOO tasting at Almazara Deortegas
It's been almost two months since we finished harvesting and preparing our EVOOs.
All of this year's varieties are now available!
We highlight this time as one of the best times to enjoy these freshly made juices, a time when the freshness, colors and nuances of aroma and flavor are more marked and explosive and in addition some of the most volatile substances are also more present. like chlorophyll.
Oils evolve and need time to open and express themselves, so we take advantage of this moment to invite you to learn more about this world of EVOOs and savor it...
We have 5 different types of olive trees, which offer us 5 different olive varieties, with which we make 5 monovarietal EVOO (Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil) and a coupage:
Arbequina, Picual, Cornicabra, Hojiblanca and Frantoio.
*Do you know the steps to make extra virgin olive oil?
*What are the differences between olive oil, virgin and extra virgin?
*What parameters are important to choose one or another on a shelf?
*The differences in aroma and flavor of each variety and how to use them in your cooking.
*What type of agriculture do we carry out in the field and what actions do we carry out?
These and many other questions are what we develop in the tastings and we enjoy sharing, delving into the culture of oil, something very ours... very Mediterranean, which we use every day, hence the importance of having the information and awareness of what We choose to have in our kitchen the full range of different flavors and aromas that can enrich our dishes and our lives.
We are waiting for you to try this new year's EVOOs
